Our Story

About AET

Building the infrastructure for energy democracy.

The Beginning

It started with a question.

Why do utilities profit from energy volatility while homeowners with batteries sit idle?

We watched institutional traders make millions using sophisticated algorithms—multi-factor synthesis, stochastic optimization, probabilistic forecasting. The same techniques that could benefit anyone with a battery. But these tools cost millions. The knowledge was locked away.

So we decided to build it ourselves. And give it away.

Mission

Access to sophisticated energy infrastructure—and the ability to monetize it—shouldn't be reserved for institutions.

The Moment

February 2021.Texas froze.

Electricity prices spiked 10,000%. People died. The grid failed.

But somewhere in that chaos, battery owners with the right software made more in a week than they would in a year. Not by exploiting tragedy—by providing exactly what the grid needed, exactly when it needed it.

The future of energy isn't just about generation. It's about intelligence.

Context

The world is changing

The new normal

Climate Volatility

Extreme weather is the new normal. Grid stress is becoming routine. Price swings are more frequent and extreme.

The opportunity

Renewable Intermittency

Solar and wind don't follow demand curves. The gap between generation and consumption is where value lives.

The pressure

Regulatory Shift

Dynamic tariffs are being mandated worldwide. Net metering is being phased out. Export limits are tightening.

The injustice

Institutional Advantage

Utilities trade with million-dollar algorithms. Hedge funds arbitrage energy markets. Individuals are locked out.

Our Approach

We're not building a product.We're building infrastructure.

Multi-factor synthesis. Stochastic optimization. Physics-based safety verification. These are the actual techniques used by institutional trading desks.

Implemented in Rust for performance and safety. Designed to run on a Raspberry Pi. Licensed under MIT so anyone can use it, modify it, build on it.

Principles

What we believe

01

Radical Transparency

Hash-chained audit logs. Deterministic replay. Every decision explainable. If you can't verify it, you shouldn't trust it.

02

True Ownership

No revenue share. No subscription. No cloud dependency. Your hardware. Your returns. 100% of the upside stays with you.

03

Safety as Foundation

Four independent defense layers. Formal verification of every setpoint. Battery health is inviolable. Profit never compromises safety.
